HI! I'M TAYLOR
I was born and raised in Avery County. I graduated from Avery High in 2013 where I played basketball and tennis and was involved in the FFA and yearbook. I then attended Mayland Community College for two years where I earned my Associates of Arts degree. After graduating from Mayland I transferred to Lees-McRae College and earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education in May of 2017. I spent my first year out of college nannying and traveling. In the fall of 2018, I took the ELA position at Williams Academy teaching middle school. After Christmas break the math position opened up in middle school, and since I have always loved math, I switched to teaching math! I loved teaching middle school, so I obtained my middle school math teaching license in the summer of 2019. I love spending time with my family! I got married in April of 2019 in Jamaica. We are currently foster parents and hope to adopt soon! My husband and I love everything outdoors. We live on his family's Christmas tree farm in Avery County. We love riding four-wheelers, fishing, golfing, and hiking. I still love to play basketball, especially against my students. ;) |
